AHG Kick-off and other news

The last WG11 meeting was held the week of July 29 - Aug. 2, our mandate (until the next meeting to be held in Geneva on Oct. 28 - Nov. 2) remains unchanged.

Please note that the current version of the Working Draft of the 3rd edition of the ISO/IEC 14496-22 "Open Font Format" standard is now public, the text can be downloaded from the following webpage:

Also, the text of the draft Call for Proposals for Color Font Technology was discussed at the meeting and is attached to this email for your review. The Call will be finalized at the next meeting, with the planned proposal submission deadline of January 7, 2014. Currently, we plan to keep the existing Working Draft open until the new technology submissions are reviewed and finalized, the proposed timeline for completion of the 3rd edition OFF standard is outlined in the text of the CFP. I would like to ask you to review the draft text CFP and submit your comments (if any) to this email list for discussion.
