I don't think we have a view on this. We're just asking that proposed changes don't add to the confusion, or cause support calls and alarm. Redefining what OpenType means shouldn't be taken lightly.

So what, in Microsoft's view, should users expect an Opentype font to 
provide that they should not expect from a TrueType font (other than an 
"O" icon)?
