Re. schedule:

Thursday 17 August is the TypeCon Education Forum day, I believe, so 
would be an opportunity for us to meet before the two days of the 
conference proper.

Re. venue:

TypeCon is taking place at Revolution Hall, a music/theatre venue. While 
it is possible that the conference organisers might be able to arrange a 
space for us to meet at that venue, it probably would not come with 
video link setup as typical for e.g. conference meeting rooms at hotels 
or corporate offices. I wonder if any of the stakeholder companies have 
offices in the Portland area where it might be more convenient to meet 
in terms of facilities?
