Message-ID: Dear AHG participants, Happy New Year! I am happy to let you know that the text of the ISO/IEC 14496-22/DIS (Draft International Standard) has been published and the approval ballot has been issued by the ISO Secretariat. This is our last opportunity to introduce additional changes - only editorial and technical corrections can be submitted as part of the ballot comments, major technical changes would not be accepted at this time. The ISO submission deadline for ballot comments is May 19, 2025. However, since comments are submitted via National Bodies, the NBs may establish their own shorter deadlines for submission, depending on their internal process requirements. For example, the US National Body requires DIS comments to be reviewed and approved by the Executive Board, and has set their comments submission deadline on March 31, 2025. Please consult with your NB if you plan to submit comments. Our mandates for this period allow us to continue the discussion of the DIS text while it's published under ballot: "Review the DIS text of ISO/IEC 14496-22 5th edition (WG03N01388) and prepare and submit ballot comments via members? National Bodies." I would like to encourage you to share your comments for discussion with the AHG prior to submission, if you wish. Thank you, Vladimir -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... When a document is out for ballot or for commenting at the CD stage formal discussion during official meetings or distribution of positions using official ISO and IEC IT tools is prohibited. This does not prohibit discussion on sections of the document that are not out for ballot or comment. As convenor of SC34/WG4, I always contact the committee manager of SC34 regarding interpretations of the directives. In a public place (the OOXML ballot resolution meeting) ITTF clearly said that it is them who interpret the directives. Not member bodies or convenors.
