I shall let others ponder the legality of what I did: I unchecked the "auto-detected that you are based in UK, please go to this other web site" toggle in the extra panel on the side, and filled in all the details, billing addresses etc correctly, except the last line of my address to another location that I am citizen of. That's basically equivalent to asking a member of my extended family or a friend in a different location to "buy" it at zero cost for me, I would think. This registers me under their billing system, which I then log-in, assigned the "license" to myself. I am then offered an URL to download a pdf with my e-mail address watermarked on every page. I then go and correct the last line of my address in my profile detail. So they now have all my details 100% correct.
Not sure why/what exactly is the purpose of the location check - I reckon if I were travelling, I probably wouldn't see the toggle, and things would have gone exactly the same way, except I would give them 100% correct details the first time.
The process is way too complicated for something that is "free", for a value of "free".
As the pdf is watermarked with my e-mail address, I guess I am not supposed to share it; and it being copyright material, probably not attempt to remove the watermark either. The watermarking tech isn't very sophisticated, and I am sure there are plenty of pdf-knowledgeable people on this mailing list who are capable of that. I'll probably make a private attempt for my personal amusement, just so that the watermarking does not get into my eyes while I read. By sending it only to the list w/o mentioning you in the qwuote I hoped
to avoid it looking like i were blaming you at all.
Sorry that it still seemed such.
the fault is entirely iso's.

requiring ecmascript still makes it unusable.
