However, I would like to point out that AHG has fulfilled its mandate and has

I would like to inquire if you plan to accept my suggestion to issue the Call

I don’t see these documents being listed as tentative output documents of
the System subgroup agenda. I realize that CFP is likely to be processed and
approved by the Requirements subgroup and I would like to ask you if this is
the plan (I have not seen the agenda of the Requirement subgroup). I would like
to emphasize once again that the drafts m17628 and m17629 have been reviewed by
the AHG, and that the “Requirements and Use Cases” document
remained unchanged since the last meeting (N11212). It would be good to have
CFP issued at this time; postponing this until next meeting in Geneva would
only introduce an unnecessary delay in the development of the Composite Font
standard.<br>

<span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'>Dear
Young-Kwon,<br>
<br>
If possible, I would like to issue the Call for Proposals at this meeting
– delaying it until the next meeting would push the development schedule
of the standard which is something I would like to avoid if possible. Since
this has been part of our last mandate, the AHG reviewed and agreed on the
proposed text of the CfP, and the “Draft Requirements and Use
cases” have already been approved at the last meeting (N11212) - the AHG
agreed on the document with no changes. In order to facilitate response to the
CfP, we also agreed to accompany the CfP with public working draft that was
developed based on the exploration activities conducted by the AHG since
January 2009 – the text of the WD was also reviewed and agreed by the
AHG. I have uploaded the draft texts of the CfP and WD as input contributions
m17628 and m17629.<br>
<br>
I believe that we are all set to issue the CfP based on the results of the AHG
work (as outlined in the report m17375) – postponing this until the next
meeting would only introduce an unnecessary delay. As far as other documents
are concerned (FDAM and COR1) – we can delay those until the next meeting
with no harm done.<br>

Leonardo, Young-Kwon,<br>

I would like to inquire about the status of the output documents related to
ISO/IEC 14496-22. At this meeting, we have two ballots (one is closed and one
will be closing on Wednesday, April 21st). As a result of the ballots, we would
be able to prepare and issue the following output documents:<br>
1. ISO/IEC 14496-22:2009/FDAM1 “Support for
many-to-one range mappings”, and<br>
</span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica","sans-serif"'><br>
</span><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'>2.
ISO/IEC 14496-22:2009/COR1<br>
</span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica","sans-serif"'><br>
</span><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'><br>
According to the mandate for the AHG on Font Format Representation, we also
planned (and are ready) to issue a Call for Proposals for Composite Font
Standard. It was planned to be accompanied by two supporting documents:<br>
1. Call for Proposals for Composite Font
Standard;<br>
</span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica","sans-serif"'><br>
</span><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'>2.
Requirements and use cases for Composite Font
Standard (based on the draft text N11212), and<br>
</span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica","sans-serif"'><br>
</span><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'>3.
Working draft of ISO/IEC 14496-22/WD based on the
exploration work done by the AHG.<br>
</span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica","sans-serif"'><br>
</span><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'><br>
None of these output documents is currently listed in the goals of the Systems
subgroup for this week. I am not sure whether the current status of the meeting
would allow considering these documents as official output of the meeting (is
there a quorum requirement that has to be met?). <br>
<br>
I am also not sure if it makes sense for me to even attempt to travel to
Dresden if there is a chance. Currently, my existing travel reservation is
pending and active, and my travel agency is trying to find any possible
alternative way to get me to Dresden this week. However, I am not sure if
it’s even necessary for me to travel, if the status of the WG11 meeting
would prevent us from issuing the output documents. Please advice.<br>
<br>
Thank you and best regards,<br>
