to differentiate similar tags] I would hope that we won’t have a need to use ascending order numbers in the future - as we try to reconcile ISO language tags with both the existing and new OFF/OpenType language we will gradually transition to using ISO tags
and will use tag+’0’ notation only to resolve existing conflicts. So, I’d prefer to keep the proposed notation tag+’0’ to at least not introduce another way of encoding tags and even more confusion as a result.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

too, such as '1KAB', '2KAB', ... ? Otherwise you could have problems distinguishing between versions of the two languages assigned to 'KAB ' and 'KAB0'. <o:p></o:p></p>
