I just attended an SC34 plenary in Seattle. In connection with the ongoing revision of OOXML, SC34 and ISO discussed more than a year ago how closely the final publication should follow the Directives, Part 2. Although producing a fully compliant text was not feasible, we reached agreement on the necessary adjustments, and SC34 revised the text accordingly. However, as publication approaches, ISO has requested a Word version and now appears ready to introduce additional changes beyond what was agreed. <div><br></div><div>You wrote "the <span>FDIS</span> text is expected to be registered for final approval on Sep. 7" but this has not happened yet.
