I'm aware of David Lemon's point about the proliferation of
fonts with invalid DSIG and the consequences of adopting a
policy that requires validation (and hence the rejection of
fonts with invalid DSIG).

I don't expect that this body will act to require DSIG validation.

I do strongly suggest that this body admit the current sad state
and deprecate the current DSIG.

The "appearance" of trustworthiness when there is no basis for
trust is a disservice to all and the responsibility for that falls on
this body.
