“Class” is a great example where this sucks. A “glyph class” may be a group, list or collection of glyphs, or may be some attribute of a glyph. Standard English does not help.
I think that the "code" portions of the spec (field names etc. like usWeighClass) should stay the same, but whenever we're introducing a term that involves a plural, we should describe it at least once using the prepositional construct (directory of tables, array of records etc.)
