That information would indeed be interesting.

Is there already/could there also be, a short, yet reasonably detailed, 
description of what additional features someone making COLR/CPAL colour 
fonts will be able to include in the fonts please?

May I request an update for this group, from those implementing COLR v1, 
regarding the status of the new spec in fontTools and FreeType? Reports 
on implementation progress in other relevant systems, font editors or 
design applications would also be welcome. Early opportunities for 
building and testing COLR v1 fonts are valuable!
