Subject: New AHG mandates and other news!

Dear AHG members,

I am happy to report that at the recent WG3 "MPEG Systems" meeting
(conducted last week, April 26-30) the new set of AHG mandates have been
approved:

1. Review and discuss the text of ISO/IEC CD 14496-22 Committee Draft
amendment.

2. Explore potential future changes and updates, and propose new work items
(if applicable) for consideration in the future new edition of the OFF
specification.

I also would like to bring your attention to the fact that based on our
recommendations and WG3 Resolutions - the Working Draft amendment of ISO/IEC
14496-22:2019 (AMD2) has been promoted to Committee Draft stage and will be
published by ISO Secretariat under review and approval ballot. The document
has been approved for public distribution and is now available for download
<https://www.mpegstandards.org/wp-content/uploads/mpeg_meetings/134_OnLine/w
20285.zip> . I would like to encourage you all to share this information and
solicit for wide review and comments from the implementers and all
interested parties.

As part of the mandate #2, we are also encouraged to start exploration
activities to discuss the next round of changes that will become the basis
for the new OFF 5th edition work item - your contributions to these topics
(both on this list and / or new issues on MPEGGroup/OpenFontFormat GitHub
<https://github.com/MPEGGroup/OpenFontFormat> ) are much appreciated.

Thank you,

Vladimir
